Right at the start of February I went on a little iTunes spree. First I bought Centre Stage by Kimberley Walsh. As much as I love me some show tunes I mainly bought this to support Kimberley as I'm a pretty big fan of Girls Aloud but it's not a bad album. It didn't blow me away or anything but it's good. My favourite song is definitely One Day I'll Fly Away from Moulin Rouge. I love the original and Kimberley has put together a great version. On a side note, I've also included the club remix version at the end. Does anyone else think it sounds like it's been remixed with Gangnam Style? Please tell me I'm not the only one.
Next was a bit of impulse buy. I downloaded Stardust by Lena. If you've not heard of Lena before she's a German singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest a few years ago. This has become my favourite album this month. It's just fun and doesn't take itself too seriously.
I know that I am extremely late to the party when it comes to Mumford & Sons but I'm finally starting to understand what all the fuss is about. I decided to get their album a few weeks ago after watching the Brits and I'll admit, it's good. I already had their first album thanks to my sister, I'd just never really got round to listening to it. Well, that has now changed.
Other than the obligatory Glee numbers, and a random One Direction song that has been incessantly stuck in my head the majority of the month, the only other song this month is Do You Hear The People Sing? I've still been listening to the music from Les Mis and this has been my favourite song this month. It's just so uplifting!
What's been your favourite song this month? Let me know!
